Floating balls ― 2009/11/25 14:29
two black ones on the right, found on the surface of the lake. Are they pine cones? Alligator's eyes? Then I saw a white ball on the other side.
Later I knew they were probably turtles heads. Black when we see the shadow part, white the sunlit.
Let's check the balls ----->
While the surface of the water is reflecting the sunshine, we don't see anything under the water. Neither birds do, and fish is safe.
When the angle of the sun changes and the surface stops reflecting ....., birds get busy.
